The academic year consists of 2 semesters. The first semester starts on October 1 st and ends in February, whereas the second semester starts at the end of February and ends in July. There are four holidays whose dates vary from one year to another: a winter holiday in December, an inter-semestrial holiday, a spring holiday and a summer holiday.

Admission calendar
1 st cycle, full-time learning - the entrance examination usually takes places in the second half of July every year. For the academic year 2008/2009, the entrance examination is scheduled between July 21-28, 2008.
1 st cycle, distance learning - the entrance examination usually takes places both in the second half of July and at the beginning of September every year. For the academic year 2008/2009, the entrance examination is scheduled between July 14-31, 2008 and September 3-12, 2008.
2 nd cycle - the entrance examination usually takes place in the first half of September every year. For the academic year 2008/2009, the entrance examination is scheduled between September 8-22, 2008.
3 rd cycle - the entrance examination usually takes place in the first half of September every year. For the academic year 2008/2009, the entrance examination is scheduled between September 1-22, 2008.
Graduation exams
1 st cycle - the graduation exam takes place at the beginning of July every year. For the academic year 2007/2008, students take the exam to obtain their Bachelor's degree between July 7-19, 2008.
2 nd cycle - there are two types of Master's programs: one which consists in 3 semesters and one which consists in 4 semesters of study. The former organizes exams for students to obtain their Master's degree in February-March, whereas the latter organizes exams in June-July, every year. For the academic year 2007/2008, the 3-semester Master's programs have scheduled the exam between March 3-9, 2008, while the 4-semester Master's programs have scheduled the exam between June 30-July 5, 2008.
